Lip sync...

20th April 2015

Learn the words to the song...

Try to lip sync, like this kid...

In our workshop tomorrow we will be listening to different songs and learning lyrics from our favourite songs (in English).

We'll ask some questions too...

What do the lyrics mean?

Do the lyrics tell a story? If yes, what is the story about?

Describe the music video.

What did we learn this workshop:

If something is not certain;
It might be/ It may be
It could be
It could possibly be

On Earth; Snob; Posh; Angry; Hangover; Heaven; bossy.

Two stories we created with the 'Story cubes'

1. Cubes rolled: Frustration, Worry, waves, Palace.
Aladin went  to the palace and he put on a swimsuit. He went to the Red Sea, , he fell into the sea, he got angry and he did a wee, at the same time a Jelly Fish stung him and it left him stupid!

2. Skull, Helmet, Bright Light, Spectacles.
There was a skull who had a helmet and when he put on his spectacles, he saw a bright light!

Which story do you think should win the competition? Which one is the most entertaining?

30th April 2015

Now let's look at these questions...

What is happening in the video?

We will talk about the music too..

How does this song make you feel?

8th of June 2015

We have finally decided on a lip sync video!

Here are the lyrics:

Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you shoulda, somehow, realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now

Back beat, the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before but you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now

And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how

Because maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall

Today was gonna be the day but they'll never throw it back to you
By now you shoulda somehow realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now

And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how

I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall

I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall

I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me

A funny interview

Monday, 18th of April

Now that we are back after the Easter holidays... I would like us to start work on our 'Funny interviews'
We've had a little practice at our lines and a some fun practising role play, this week I would like us to swap partners...

Think about the following;

Would you like to be the interviewer or the interviewee?

If you choose to be the interviewee then you will need to think about your character;

Are you famous?
Are you an actor or a singer?
Do you have a big ego
Are you a drama queen or a wallflower?

If you choose to be the interviewer then you will need to think about your character;

Are you a kind person?
Do you want people to know the truth?
Are you a bad person or a good one?
Are you a gossip?

Also up for grabs...
The show presenter
Would you like to be the show presenter? why?

Once we have the script we will have time to practise before we make our video...

Well done guys!
Vocabulary we learnt:

Main interest NOT principle interest
Open questions
Improvise
To have an abortion
